Cheesesteak sub was delicious!! They have those hard to find real fountain cokes. That alone would take me there! The old historical building is worth experiencing. Service was outstanding. The carry out was booming when I was having lunch.

Cavanaugh's is walking distance to my office and I have been eating lunch there for many years. I have never had a bad meal! Every day they have a handful of really good, creative, specials from which to choose. I have had most of their salads and all are really tasty and fresh. The crab and avacado salad is one of my favorites. The roasted red pepepr soup is one of my staples during the cooler months. Sandwiches are always very tasty. And, if you're lucky, they will have the chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting...fluffy and delicious! Staff is friendly and checks on you during your meal. I love the building too. They have maintained the charm of a century old building that once housed a confectionary. Wilmington is very lucky to have this gem of a restaurant.

Loved the food best tasting so far the fries , buns , the portions , great flame grilled meats Only con. Is the men's room. Not much room to it. Loved this random stop

Absolutely my most favorite chicken salad sandwich ever! I've tried to re-create this chicken salad at home, and it's just never as good. Cavanaugh's always has delicious food - my husband's grilled chicken BLT sandwich was delicious as was his fries. I just love this place!

Always a pleasure when I come into Cavanaugh's. I recently stopped in for lunch with my coworkers and had the scallops with pesto risotto and it was absolutely amazing. My go to is the crab and avocado salad which always amazing. They are always consistent, quick, and have amazing specials. The owner and his staff are spot on with the service every time. They cater most of our trials and do a fabulous job all the time

I have been dining at Cavanaugh's for several years. It's a restaurant with ample seating that has lovely historical architectural charm inside. The food is always great. I've never had a dish that I didn't like. The specials are always changing which gives you a nice variety to choose from. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food on your plate. The staff is always courteous and friendly. My glass never goes empty. All in all its a great place to go for a great meal.

I have lunch at Cavanaughs 1-2 times a week. I've been going there for the last 6 years. The food is outstanding. I love all of their salads but the sandwiches and soups are great too. The servers are very attentive. The location and atmosphere make it fun. It's in a turn of the century candy store. Tim, the owner/manager is friendly and makes sure your meal is enjoyed.

Nice place, beautiful ceilings relaxed atmosphere. I was welcomed in by a smiling guy and service was spotless. I had delicious potatoes skins there's a menu for lunch specials and other items are burgers and salads. I think it's indeed open only for lunch, really worthy of a visit! :)
